In this workspace we have the mapping tool provenance data file needed to produce the generic pregnant human uterus scaffold for the 12 Labours project. The mapping tool will be accessible from the release download page on the `SPARC Portal <https://sparc.science>`_.

The pregnant human uterus scaffold is generated with a configurable network layout. A user can annotate the oviducts, fundus, body, uterine cervix and vagina along the network layout and use that to define the respective regions of the uterus. The ability to control dimensions such as length and diameter of oviducts, the length, width and depth of the uterus, cervix and vagina, as well as wall thickness in the different regions allows the scaffold to be configurable for different network layout and sizes to support different species and individuals.

The pregnant human uterus scaffold is created based on average dimensions and images obtained from literature and can be configured to different stages of pregnancy.

The pregnant uterus scaffold defines the geometric coordinates. The geometric coordinates field gives an approximate, idealized representation of the shape for the species, which is intended to be fitted to actual data for a specimen.
